Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Canada is a non-profit, charitable organization in Canada. Your donations are essential to support our work and contribute to our successes toward an educational, cultural and socio-spiritual activities. The GURUKUL tradition was founded & reestablished by HDH Shashstriji Maharaj Shree Dharmajivandasji Swami. According to the inspiration message “Pravartaniya Sadvidya, Bhuvi Yatsukrutam Mahat” of Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan in 1948 A.D with the aim to create a moral, ethical and serene society.
Our aim is to bring out best out of all the individuals by empowering them with religious knowledge, opportunities, and culture to attain the highest level of morality and spirituality. Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Canada is run and managed by gurukul’s alumni.
Why to Donate ?
According to SHIKSAPATRI shloka: 147
Our satsangi householders should offer to the lord one tenth of their earnings, in terms of money, or food, or grains from their own profession or business. Those who are economically weak, shall offer only one twentieth part of their earnings.
Where is Donation being used ?
We organized monthly sabha on regular basis since almost five years now. There used to be hardly 15 people in the beginning of our spiritual activity. They are the one who build such a strong base of Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Canada by contributing to boost an aim of Gurudev Shastriji Maharaj.
Since we are growing rapidly, we started organizing our regular sabha in bigger places like rental schools or gym. Our aim is to bring more and more kids to our sabha and inspire them to lead gurukul tradition to next level. We aim to start language classes in short future for them which makes them to stay connected with our holy religious books like Vachanamrut, Shiksapatri as well as tradition and culture. Bringing more migrant families and friends to Gurukul family, we wish to create a spiritual atmosphere like home as Canada is now home for all of us.
Youth is our major strength. We are seeing huge number of young international students arriving to Canada for higher education. Many of them are Gurukul alumni. Our aim to keep them under spiritual atmosphere which enables them to live their lives according to Shiksapatri guidelines.
